Literature Robert Anthony Biography North Carolina playwright and poet, Robert Anthony, studied English and Drama at Western Carolina University and then made his way to New York City. Mr. Anthony has held a variety of jobs, including shrimp boat operator, Bible salesman, and magazine editor. In recent years he has written six full-length plays and more than thirty one-acts. Of the ten that have been produced, seven have had New York City productions. In addition to writing plays he continues to write poems and especially likes Haiku. He currently divides his time between New York City and Cherryville, North Carolina.
